Mineral Titles Online

British Columbia granted to PGTS the exclusive right, on a worldwide basis, to market and sell perpetual sublicenses to the Mineral Titles Online (MTO) system. PGTS is a leader in delivering online, spatially-enabled mining registry cadastre and tenure management systems for governments.

PGTS is also entitled to make modifications to the MTO system for other government clients including alterations, changes, deletions, amendments, upgrades, re-engineering, enhancements,  improvements, or redesigning of the MTO system.

PGTS, in our mining cadastre projects, provides subject matter experts and services to deliver the complete lifecycle of the product from scope definition and consultation to user requirements, feasibility assessment, solution definition, analysis, design, configuration, corporate service integration and implementation as well as ongoing support and maintenance of the Mineral Titles Online (MTO) system.

Mineral Titles Online (MTO) system was the recipient of the national GTEC – Gold Award for Government Innovation, the Public Sector Transformation (REBOOT) Innovation award, the BC Premier’s Award for Service Excellence, and ESRI Canada’s Award of Excellence.

MTO enables authorized users to view up-to-date mineral claim information and other basemaps reference data on a digital map over the Internet, determine the availability of claims of interest, assess land classifications and restrictions, acquire, renew or submit requests to acquire or renew tenures and exploration rights, make online payments and secure confirmation of such acquisitions or renewals. Also, MTO supports ongoing client-enabled maintenance and management of their claim portfolio. MTO system provides administrative workflow functionality for Internal Authorized staff to effectively manage required business processes and the system overall.

MTO is a fully web-based, spatially-enabled cadastre system that support and automate the following general business functions:

  • - Receive, process and maintain client registrations;
  • - Receive, process, approve and maintain application and renewal requests;
  • - Issue and record licenses (exploration rights), leases (production), permits and registrations;
  • - Maintain and update map information;
  • - Determine annual mineral titles requirements;
  • - Review submissions and work reports;
  • - Receive and process payments, document and maintain transaction records; and,
  • - Provide system administration and maintenance.
