The successful candidates will provide specialized technical knowledge to projects and requires strong software development experience in using Java-based technologies (J2SE and J2EE, Struts framework, EJB2, JBoss, XML/XSLT, Axis, JSP, JSF, Eclipse, Ant build scripts, etc) and SOAP web services and XML. Education and Experience

Senior Business Analyst

Description:

The successful candidate will join PGTS team and be involved in a range of projects. Willing to travel to client sites, as needed.

This is a permanent full time position, located in Victoria/Whitehorse and Calgary. Desired start date is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

Have experience documenting/modeling both current and future business requirements
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience within a Software Project Team (architects, developers, testers, QA/QC)
Working experience in writing requirements, use cases and design specifications
Assisting team members to complete analysis and resolution of business decision papers
Identifying core business content, scripts, forms, code tables
Know that communication and people skills, as well as the ability to develop trust and confidence with the client, is the key to a successful project
Ability to work to tight deadlines and to review application external design documents and work with the business to identify manual processes needed
Work well with clients, their stakeholders and end users
Create/facilitate processes to identify/confirm business requirements & priorities

Education and Experience

At least 8-10 years of Business Analysis and Design experience

The successful candidate will join PGTS team and be involved in a large Oracle/ArcSDE spatial projects.

This is a permanent full time position, located in Victoria. Desired start date is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

Understand integration of Oracle/ArcSDE and Oracle database administration
Working experience ArcSDE, ArcIMS development and customization
Knowledge of newer technologies including ArcGIS Engine, ArcServer, & AJAX
Knowledge of geospatial tools, data warehouse, geonetworks, and geoportals
Oracle, Oracle Spatial, and SQL programming skills

Education and Experience

Strong academic background. University degree or proven record of acquired knowledge
At least 4-6 years of Oracle/Oracle Spatial and ESRI ArcSDE experience
Strong working knowledge using Oracle and GIS software
Programing experience and skills in Java, J2EE, XML, ArcObjects, FME, C++, . NET, Python, C#, & SOAP
Knowledge of Land and Resource Data Warehouse concepts and services will be a distinct advantage
